Meet the Producer – Clos Pachem with Pep Riba - February 26, 2026
We are delighted to invite you to a special Meet the Producer evening at Bottles, featuring Pep Riba, winemaker and cellar manager of Clos Pachem.
Located in the heart of Gratallops in DOQ Priorat, Clos Pachem was founded in 2015 by Michel Grupper and named after his children, Paul, Charles, and Emma. The winery is dedicated to producing exceptional wines from old vines on the region’s famous Llicorella slate soils, with a philosophy rooted in regenerative agriculture and deep respect for the land and its people.
Clos Pachem is one of the few Priorat producers not to use oak, preferring ceramic jar maturation, which results in a lighter, fresher, and smoother style that contrasts with the region’s traditionally powerful, oak-driven wines. Their approach emphasizes the purity of the vineyard and the unique character of native grape varieties, meaning a unique taste and must try.
This evening offers a rare opportunity to meet the producer in person, hear the story behind the winery, and taste a selection of wines guided directly by Pep Riba. The tasting will be accompanied by canapés carefully prepared to complement the wines, creating a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Meet the Producer – Weingut Hauck with Jana Hauck - March 27, 2026
We are delighted to invite you to a special Meet the Producer evening at Bottles, dedicated to the wines and family behind Weingut Hauck.
For this event, we will be hosting Jana Hauck, who, alongside her father Heinz Günter Hauck, tends daily to approximately 140,000 vines across 28 hectares in the heart of Rheinhessen, Germany’s largest wine region.
Weingut Hauck is very much a family affair, with every member working side by side, sharing responsibilities, and supporting one another. This spirit of collaboration is reflected in every bottle, each carrying the unmistakable family fingerprint.
The Haucks are equally committed to sustainable viticulture. Their vineyards across Bermersheim vor der Höhe, Albig, and Ensheim grow on limestone, clay, and loam-loess soils, enhanced by biodiverse cover crops that increase soil carbon storage. In the winery, all energy needs are met via solar power, demonstrating a clear focus on reducing their carbon footprint. As Jana puts it, “You simply cannot produce good wine without a single-minded fixation for it. One thing is for sure, we’re not lacking in the fanaticism department!”
The evening will feature a guided tasting with Jana Hauck, accompanied by canapés thoughtfully paired with the wines, in a relaxed and convivial setting.
